Call the office

Over the course of the last few weeks under Governor Baker’s mandate we have only been able to treat emergencies and what we consider to be emergent cases. However, based on the reopening plan set forth by the state of Massachusetts, we are excited to announce that under phase 2 we are able to offer almost all dental services, including routine cleanings! With that being said, there will be some changes you will see during this time at your next appointment.

First, we kindly ask that you leave all guests at home or in the parking lot. No unscheduled visitors will be allowed to remain in our reception area. We have also reduced seating in the reception area to help ensure disinfection. Our front desk personnel will be conducting a pre-screening session during your appointment confirmation call. Upon arrival, patients are asked to call the office in order to receive further directions before entering the office for their appointment. We will also be recording your body temperature and will reschedule you if above 100.4 depresses Fahrenheit. All patients are expected to wear a mask upon entering the office and wait to remove it until you are brought back to your treatment room.

Based on recommendations from the American Dental Association and the American Dental Hygiene Association, we no longer will be using an ultrasonic scaler. It has also been recommended that only selective polishing should be done. In other words, any visible staining will be polished away, however tooth surfaces that do not show stain will be left alone. This may feel different to you, but rest assured that your dental cleaning is as thorough as it has been in the past at maintaining your oral health.

To ensure your utmost safety, we follow or exceed, CDC, ADA, MDS guidelines and recommendations. We have greatly reduced patient flow within our office. Our staff will be disposing, laundering, or disinfecting their personal protective equipment after every patients’ appointment. In addition to our patients, all our staff has their temperature taken and is screened with a detailed questionnaire before coming to work. Between patients the office is completely disinfected and sanitized. High-touch non-clinical areas are sanitized several times a day as well.  We also have installed a medical grade air purification system to help eliminate airborne particles. Should you have any special concerns we strongly encourage you to bring them to our attention, as your health and safety is always our top priority.

As we are now able to conduct routine cleanings and other routine dental procedures please contact the office at 781-245-7986 to schedule an appointment. We are currently doing our best to accommodate those who have long awaited their recommended treatment, so please be patient as we do our best to fit everyone in.

These past months have been difficult for all of us. We are eager to return to the new normal of dentistry and continue to provide you with the utmost care you deserve.

We look forward to seeing your beautiful smiles soon!

Sincerely,

Dr. Iocco and Staff
